Description
The American Goshawk has long since been the favorite of many falconers in North America and abroad due to their speed, veracity and agility. Goshawks were the prize of kings and noblemen dating back thousands of years. They were often called the Cook’s Hawk as they provided so much game for the kitchen. Tim Neese and Joe Katterhenry have been involved in falconry for over 30 years. This video is a collection of flights from their hunting trips through the Midwest which span a ten year period. It has over 45 minutes of action-packed footage that will be sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. The section on jacks and cottontails has flight after flight of the American Goshawk, at its best, chasing rabbits and jacks.
