Description
A memorial film tribute to one of America’s falconry icons, Gerald Richards. This DVD covers Gerald’s life and times from his start as a young falconer to his untimely death flying one of his favorite species, the Red-tailed Hawk. Gerald is famous for a number of ‘firsts’ in falconry including formation of the Utah Sky Trials ‘Pigeon Derby’ as well as the start of ‘Great Basin Labs’, one of the first commercial breeding projects selling American Kestrels (and his clash with USFWS). There are interviews with family, falconers and friends recounting Gerald the athlete, father, falconer, storyteller, and animated comic and best friend.
