Fit-All Pigeon Noose Harness

We make our Fit-All Pigeon Noose Harness in our shop from a proven pattern that has caught large falcons, buteos and accipiters. The excellent fit allows the bait bird to use its wings and fly while wearing the harness which is a real magnet for passage raptors. Our harness will fit large homing pigeons, pheasants or even small ducks.

We begin with strong veg tanned calfskin, dye it grey to match the back feathers of a pigeon then begin tying on 20 lb. test nooses made from premium limp monofilament line. We tie the nooses so they are totally erect to maximize the chance of snagging a toe or leg. Each harness comes with our drag system composed of a drag tube with 25 ft. of Dacron line, bungee cord brake and strong snap swivel. The tube can be filled with sand, gravel or even lead allowing adjustment of the weight so the bait bird can fly or just stay put.

To be ready for any trapping situation, it is a good idea to purchase extra drag systems for immediate weight changes in the field plus some replacement nooses.
