Description
Believing much can be learned from ancient and medieval writings, the author has assembled a collection of texts and pieces of art pertaining to falconry. Included in the text are: The Book of King Duncus, The Treatise on Falconry by Albertus Magnus, an excerpt from an Anglo-Norman treatise on falconry and an introduction to, and brief translation of, Taka-Gari. It also includes numerous illustrations ranging from 300-700 years in age.
